Orientation: Heterosexual. Her orientation isn't stated in the anime or manga, but she has a flirtatious attitude towards boys and has had a long-time crush on a male member of her middle school basketball team. She has shown no similar interest in girls.

Personality: How would one describe Momoi in one word? Flirty? Cute? Cheerful? All these apply, but are only the icing on the strawberry shortcake that is this sports girl. At first glance, she's almost overly flirtatious and perky, and self-conscious is simply not a word in her dictionary. She knows that she looks good (although she isn't conceited about it) and isn't afraid to show off her...assets.

But she's more than a pretty face: Momoi is sharp as a tack, and it's incredibly difficult to pull the wool over her eyes. She's an analyst, one who not only observes everything around her, constantly taking notes, but who can also make numerical and logical predictions of future behavior based on the data she collects. Mostly, this is used to help the basketball teams she manages, but it can also be applied in social situations as well; she's very good at picking up subtleties, although she doesn't always speak up when she notices things. After all, it's not her job to keep everyone's relationships and friendships moving smoothly!

She enjoys being happy more than anything, as is evidenced by her cheerful personality, and nothing makes her happier than being around other happy people. Having fun, enjoying herself, these are all things that she works towards, and she doesn't like being mopey or unhappy, choosing to brush things aside rather than linger on them or hold a grudge. Momoi is also social, preferring to spend her time in the company of others rather than alone, and is a firm believer in the saying "the more the merrier!". But as much as she enjoys having fun, she has a serious work ethic, and never skimps, always giving every task 110%.

Under all the bubbles and rapid-fire conversation, Momoi is a girl with an undeniably kind heart and deep desire to be there for the people she cares about. Friendship is incredibly important to her, and she's loyal to the point of always putting others before her. We can see this in her childhood friendship with Aomine, who is almost beyond her reach when they reach high school and he's so consumed with basketball that he doesn't see anything else, including her. But despite his arguably poor treatment of her, she looks after him, cares for him, and always acts in his best interest.

This doesn't mean that she's unaffected by unkindness. Momoi is the type of girl to never let on that she's upset or hurting, always opting to smile instead of talking about what's wrong. Sometimes she slips up, but most of the time, she lets it sit and fester until she just about explodes. It's not the most healthy way of dealing with things, but the number of people she trusts on such a deep emotional level is limited, and the last thing she wants to do is trouble them or distract them.
Abilities: The closest thing Momoi has to an "ability" is her extreme analytic skills, which allows her to collect vast amounts of data on athletes and create educated guesses about future statistics.

Third Person: The day had been exactly what she needed; for all that she loved basketball and her team, she was also a girl. Spending all her time around gross, sweaty boys, crunching numbers and shouting orders, really took it out of her. Sometimes, she just needed to pamper herself, and that's exactly what today was. And who better to spend her day with than Kise?

(If you were expecting her to say Aomine, you must not know him very well; relaxing is the exact opposite of a day spent trying to make him do something besides basketball.)

Her hands free from bags (since Kise was carrying all of them, like the gentleman he is), she opened and closed the door behind him, setting her purse down on the couch and stretching until her back popped with a pleased sigh. She knew he was behind her, shedding his jacket and taking a lock of her hair between his fingers, and it made her look over her shoulder with an equally innocent smile.

"Oh? You like it?" she asked, smoothing the skirt to draw attention to the short length. "I wasn't sure if it would be up to your standards, Ki-chan. You're so fashionable, after all."
